Regulations for educational activities at the BrainGreen Foundation
General Rules
1.1. The educational activities organized by the BrainGreen Foundation aim to support individuals with refugee experience in learning foreign languages and adapting to life in Poland.
1.2. Courses are conducted in person in the center of Warsaw and online.
1.3. Participants are required to comply with these regulations and show respect towards instructors and fellow participants.
1.4. All participants must adhere to principles of equality and non-discrimination. Any form of hate speech, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior towards other participants or instructors is strictly prohibited.
1.5. The Foundation’s classrooms are monitored to ensure the safety of participants and instructors. Participation in the courses implies acceptance of this monitoring.
Recruitment and Participation
2.1. Enrollment for courses takes place within designated timeframes, and the number of places is limited.
2.2. Applications are accepted via an online form or in person at the Foundation’s office.
2.3. Admission to the course is based on the order of applications and the completion of all formalities, including payment for the course or obtaining a funding decision.
2.4. Each participant must select the course level according to their skills. In case of doubt, a placement test is available.
2.5. Changing groups during the course is not possible due to the limited number of places.
Course Structure
3.1. Each course consists of 30 hours of lessons, as well as additional meetings to develop language skills (e.g., discussion clubs, pronunciation, writing, and reading exercises).
3.2. Participants have access to Google Classroom, where educational materials and organizational information are published.
3.3. At the end of the course, participants take an internal exam, and a positive result entitles them to receive a certificate confirming their language proficiency level.
Participant Responsibilities
4.1. Regular attendance is mandatory.
4.2. In case of absence, the participant must inform the education coordinator. Three unexcused absences may result in removal from the list of participants.
4.3. Participants must arrive punctually and actively participate in lessons.
4.4. Recording classes without the consent of the Foundation and instructors is prohibited.
4.5. Participants should maintain cleanliness in classrooms and respect educational materials and equipment.
Fees and Funding
5.1. Courses are conducted as part of the Foundation’s non-profit public benefit activities. Fees are allocated solely to cover organizational costs (e.g., room rental, utilities, educational materials).
5.2. The course fee must be paid before the start of classes. Failure to make a payment or obtain a funding decision will result in the inability to participate in the course.
5.3. The total cost of a 30-hour Polish language course is 700 PLN.
5.4. Ukrainian citizens who arrived in Poland due to war-related events after February 23, 2022, may receive a 50% subsidy.
5.5. In other cases, a request for additional funding must be submitted with documentation proving financial hardship.
5.6. Vocational training and career counseling sessions are available free of charge.
5.7. Enrollment is based on a first-come, first-served basis, while for Polish and English language courses, priority is given to those who complete formalities first.
5.8. Course fees are non-refundable, as funds are planned for the entire course cycle.
Data Processing and Acceptance of Regulations
6.1. Participation in the courses implies acceptance of these regulations.
6.2. Participants consent to the processing of their personal data for the purpose of course organization and communication by the BrainGreen Foundation, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
6.3. Participants’ data is stored and processed in compliance with the BrainGreen Foundation’s privacy policy.
Final Provisions
7.1. The BrainGreen Foundation reserves the right to change the course schedule or cancel a course if there are insufficient participants.
7.2. Violation of these regulations may result in removal from the course without a refund.
7.3. All organizational matters should be directed to the education coordinator of the BrainGreen Foundation.
7.4. These regulations are effective from January 1, 2025, and apply to all courses organized after this date.
7.5. The Foundation reserves the right to amend the regulations. The current version of the regulations is available at the Foundation’s office and on its website.
