We help

We combine the fight for the environment and against poverty and social injustice

BrainGreen is a real help for the environment and poor communities.
As part of the BrainGreen project, we conduct educational activities concerning ecology in the poorer regions of the world.
We also carry out cleaning actions for beaches, quays, oceans, seas and forests.
We support local communities – people who spend their time on cleaning – by providing them with food, school supplies for children and money for every kilogram of collected plastic, improving the standard of living of the poorest inhabitants of poor countries.
Every 8 euros invested in the BrainGreen project removes 1 kilogram of plastic. People collecting plastic waste receive 1.5 euro for each kilogram collected. They also receive clothes, meals and drinks. This way we reduce the poverty level of the cleaning teams and their families.
We clean the collected waste and deliver it to specialized recycling points, which gives us a guarantee of their proper processing. Thanks to this, we support the circular economy, minimizing the production of new plastic. Recycling the collected plastic reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions related to the production of new plastic.
Please remember that water pollution poses a very serious threat to the life of many plant species, fish and all creatures that live in the water. Together, let us do our best to protect and restore ecosystems.

Education

What and how do we want to do?

Our activities focus on prevention. Through education, we want to influence how plastics should be used so that they harm the environment as little as possible. Every year, 8 million tons of plastic goes into the ocean, including plastic bags. According to the forecasts of the United Nations Environment Program, while maintaining this pace until 2050,
there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish. Plastic bags have long been recognized as one of the main causes of environmental degradation and health problems. Bags damage crop fields and promote the hatching of mosquitoes carrying malaria and dengue.

Face To Face Learning

Many people, especially in poorer countries, do not have internet access. That is why our volunteers run face to face educational classes.

Share And Collaborate

We develop educational and information materials. We share them with educational institutions, media, local governments, and anyone who wants to promote ways of reducing waste.
